Abigail Savage, lmt

Abigail first became fascinated by the body’s structure and movement at an early age. As a young adult, she immersed herself in the world of performance art and was a member of multiple youth circus troops throughout the Midwest. By her late teens she was performing with some of Chicago's veteran aerialists and acrobats.
Spurred by her passion for understanding how the body moves—and a desire to help people deal with long-standing injuries—Abigail studied at the Chicago School of Massage Therapy. She graduated in 2005 and spent years assisting Robert King, founder of the Chicago School of Massage Therapy and pioneer in the field of sports massage. Abigail also attended the National Personal Training Institute and is a NASM-certified Personal Trainer as well as a PICP level 1 and 2 certified strength Coach.
Throughout her career, Abigail has continued to deepen her knowledge of the body’s functionality and the mental and physical effects of movement. She’s worked with clients seeking stress relief and relaxation in five-star spas. She’s worked with clients combatting sports injuries and chronic pain in chiropractic offices. And, for the past decade, she’s worked with myriad clients in her private practice.
Abigail has advanced training in Ashiastu, Myofascial Release, sports massage and Fascial Stretch Therapy. She’s studied thai massage and Ashi-Thai, and is well-versed in pre and postnatal treatments. Her clinical training and stress-relieving techniques create a potent blend of relaxation and pain-relieving therapy. She brings an encouraging and collaborative attitude to each of her sessions, and she takes joy in facilitating change in her clients’ health and well-being.
